About the Role

Infinity Constellation is seeking an entrepreneurial Managing Director, Environmental Consulting to launch and lead a new AI-native environmental consulting business within our constellation of portfolio companies. This is a founder-level, business unit leadership role with significant equity/upside tied directly to the value you create. You will have the opportunity to build a modern, software-powered, outcome-driven environmental consulting practice — backed by Infinity's shared technology platform, go-to-market engine, and back-office infrastructure — while retaining full ownership of strategy, delivery, and growth for your business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Own full P&L responsibility for the Environmental Consulting business unit, driving revenue growth, profitability, and client outcomes.
  • Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for AI-powered environmental consulting services, including regulatory compliance, sustainability reporting, environmental risk assessment, and remediation advisory.
  • Leverage Infinity's shared AI platform and operating infrastructure to deliver outcome-based environmental services at scale, replacing traditional hourly-billed consulting models.
  • Recruit, build, and lead a high-performing team of environmental consultants, scientists, and client success professionals.
  • Develop service offerings, pricing models, and delivery frameworks that productize environmental consulting expertise.
  • Build and manage client relationships, acting as the senior-most point of contact for strategic accounts.
  • Partner closely with Infinity's central platform teams (technology, finance, legal, HR, operations) to ensure the business unit has the infrastructure needed to scale efficiently.
  • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to disrupt traditional environmental consulting firms with AI-native, outcome-driven service delivery.
  • Report on business unit performance, growth metrics, and strategic initiatives to Infinity Constellation leadership.

What We're Looking For

  • Significant professional experience in environmental consulting, environmental compliance, sustainability advisory, or a closely related field, including senior leadership or P&L ownership experience.
  • Proven track record of building, scaling, or leading a consulting practice, business unit, or professional services company.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong desire to build something from the ground up and take on founder-level ownership and accountability.
  • Deep understanding of environmental regulations, compliance frameworks, and industry standards relevant to environmental consulting services.
  • Strong business development and client relationship management skills, with experience selling consulting services to enterprise or institutional clients.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity startup environment, with the ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.
  • Enthusiasm for AI-native service delivery models and a willingness to challenge traditional consulting approaches.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, policy, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications strongly preferred.
