The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic District Manager, Retail to lead and oversee a portfolio of retail stores across an assigned territory. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving business performance, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring the consistent execution of the adidas brand experience across all locations within your district.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple retail stores within your assigned district to achieve sales, profitability, and operational targets
- Drive revenue growth and meet or exceed profit and loss (P&L) objectives through strategic planning and execution
- Coach, mentor, and develop Store Managers to build strong leadership capabilities and succession planning
- Conduct regular store visits to assess performance, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Ensure consistent implementation of brand standards, visual merchandising guidelines, and operational procedures across all locations
- Partner closely with the Retail Back Office and cross-functional teams to align on strategies, initiatives, and best practices
- Analyze business metrics and sales data to identify trends, develop action plans, and drive continuous improvement
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top retail talent in partnership with Store Managers
- Champion a customer-centric culture that delivers exceptional shopping experiences
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and loss prevention standards
- Travel regularly throughout the district to support stores and lead team development
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of multi-unit retail management experience, preferably in specialty retail, apparel, or footwear
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing profitability across multiple locations
- Strong P&L acumen with the ability to analyze financial statements and drive business results
- Demonstrated success in coaching, developing, and leading Store Managers and retail teams
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to travel regularly within the assigned district, including overnight stays as needed
- Proficiency in retail management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools
- Passion for the adidas brand, sports, and delivering outstanding customer experiences
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field preferred
