Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and customer-focused Retail Associate II to join our dynamic retail team. In this role, you will be a brand ambassador, delivering premium consumer experiences on the sales floor while supporting daily store operations. You'll combine your product knowledge with sales expertise to help customers find the perfect Nike products that meet their needs and inspire their athletic journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting, engaging, and assisting customers throughout their shopping experience
- Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge across Nike's footwear, apparel, and equipment categories
- Drive sales performance by meeting and exceeding individual and team sales targets
- Actively engage customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the sales floor is organized, clean, and fully stocked
- Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handle cash, credit, and digital payments
- Support inventory management including receiving shipments, restocking merchandise, and conducting inventory counts
- Stay current on Nike products, technologies, and brand initiatives to effectively educate customers
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive and energetic store environment
- Assist with store opening and closing procedures as needed
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills
- Support special events, product launches, and community initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of retail sales experience, preferably in athletic, footwear, or apparel retail
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Passion for sports, fitness, and the Nike brand
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and create memorable experiences
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and handle multiple priorities
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and move throughout the store
- Basic math skills and comfort with technology and point-of-sale systems
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Product knowledge of athletic footwear, apparel, and equipment is a plus
